PAYING FOR YOUR CHILD’S DENTAL CARE
When you call for your child’s dental appointment, let reception staff know that you intend to use the Child Dental Benefits Schedule for payment. You will need your Medicare card number so we can confirm your child’s eligibility and bulk bill your dental consultation.
When you arrive at Sydney Dentist Clinic office, you will need to bring your Medicare card at the time of your child’s appointment.
However, if you do not mention that you will be utilizing the Child Dental Benefits Schedule, not to worry. We will provide you with an itemised receipt – including all the appropriate codes – that you can take to Medicare to collect a full rebate of your payment.
TREATMENTS INCLUDED IN THE CDBS
To ensure optimal overall oral health, children should receive a regular dental check-up every six months. The purpose of these check-ups is to identify any dental issues that may be present in your child’s mouth so that they can be addressed before they become a problem.
Without early detection, even minor dental problems can become serious. Regularly scheduled check-ups every six months are critical for identifying and resolving any and all oral health issues before they can escalate.
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule can be used for both basic and preventative dental care. However, cosmetic procedures and orthodontics are not covered by this benefit. Our helpful staff will gladly explain what is and what is not covered by this benefit at the time of your visit.
